2007 Chevrolet Tahoe 2.1 Roof had substantial crush, windshield header buckled, and side windows failed. Generally poor performance.

About the Test

The test was a two roll event; 4.8 degrees in Roll 1 and ~10 degrees in Roll 2 and the position of the dummy. In the first roll at 4.8 degrees, the Hybrid III dummy was positioned according to the recommendations in FMVSS 208. For the second roll at ~10 degrees, the neck and torso were flexed forward by ~25 degrees and was wedged between the seat and the roof rail. In Roll 1, the peak neck load was 6,101 N and the peak lower neck moment was 304 Nm. The peak intrusion speed at the top of the A-pillar was 6.1 mph with a peak crush of 7.9 inches and a residual crush of 5.8 inches. In Roll 2, the peak neck load was 3,318 N and the peak lower neck moment was 247 Nm. The peak intrusion speed at the top of the A-pillar was 11.6 mph with a peak crush of 8.2 inches and a residual crush of 5.1 inches.
