Kwanis Club Presentation by Susie Bozzini
On August 17, 2011, Ms. Bozzini gave a presentation at the Mesa Cafe in Santa Barbara, CA regarding Rollover Protection. Ms. Bozzini presented on rollover background and statistics as well as the definitions of Stability Safety Factor (SSF) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) to help the Kwanis Club understand the importance of this information. She also included videos of rollover testing done on the Jordan Rollover System (JRS). If you would like to view a copy of this presentation or if you would like more information on how to obtain us for future presentations, please contact us via email info@centerforinjuryresearch.org.

Senior High School Education

Our presentation provides High School students with the "physics" behind vehicle safety and dynamic testing to show the effects and risks of rollovers. The students attend a short presentation and description of what they are about to see during the test. They get a front row seat for our state of the art dynamic testing facility, view the test, and then we have a short question and answer session. The students are then able to go down to the rig and view the tested vehicle, the injuries to the hybrid III dummy, and view the replay from our high speed video to really see the impact of the test. Our facilities allow teachers to continue their lesson in our spacious conference room with the subject fresh on the students minds. This is an introduction to the unique Jordan Rollover System and give the teachers a new tool for learning. For more information or to set a date for viewing a test please contact via email info@centerforinjuryresearch.org.

Rollover Workshops
To give you an understanding of what happens in the rollover accident mode and how stronger roofs, pillars, and possible alternate design of geometry would reduce serious injuries.
To show you the materials we have collected from the 35 years of rollover debate. From the first rollover testing, political debate on regulations and advances in roof design, to the new Federal Regulation released in May for rollover roof strength.

Automobile Safety for High School Parents
This presentation provides parents with vehicle safety information to show the effects and risks of a rollover. Included in our presentation are the vehicle crashes and fatalities chart that illustrates the percentages of vehicles involved and occupant deaths from rollover accidents. Also is an introduction to the unique Jordan Rollover System that performs dynamic testing with a comparison video for the Ford Explorer and Volvo XC90.
Our presentation provides vehicle information that will guide you to making a more informed choice for yourself or your family members.
